Picture Yourself at the Retreat

You wake up before the rest of the fellas.
Coffee in hand. Crisp air on your face. Pines and colors and quiet.

Inside, other men are stirring—men who already know the terrain you’ve been walking. No masks. No posturing. Just guys who get it.

Around the table, the conversations are real.
Not polished. Not posturing. Not performative…just presence.

These men genuinely get it—betrayal, shame, effort, remorse, even hope.
They both care about you and are willing to challenge you. They don’t give excuses (and they don’t accept them either).

Out in nature, the talking comes easier. A shared pace, a shared space.
The body settles. The mind clears.

There’s laughter—unexpected.
Silence—comfortable.

Later, the work deepens. You’re invited to go inwards. To stay present instead of deflecting. When you start to drift or defend, someone notices—and calls you back, respectfully, directly. You came here for this.

By evening, something has shifted.
Not because you’ve been fixed—but because you’re not alone.

There is even room to consider your wife’s experience without going to shame or defensiveness. And genuine empathy is felt for what she is going through.

You’re not just doing work.
You’re finding your people.

This is Realign.
A place to breathe.
A place to be known—by yourself and by others.
A place to move forward with integrity.

You’ve felt it for a while now— your internal world is…off.

Maybe it shows up in your reactions.
The defensiveness.
The numbness.
The way you sometimes shut down when you need to show up.

Maybe it’s the way your partner says:

You’re still not getting it.

You’re still not showing up for me.

It feels…forced, fake, wooden, robotic.

Why is it always about you?

On your nondefensive days, part of you wonders if she’s right.
If you’re not careful here, you can go to a very dark, hopeless place.

Or maybe it’s quieter:
A feeling of drifting.
Not knowing what you actually believe about yourself anymore.
Wanting to be a man who lives aligned…but not knowing how to get there.

You’re doing the work—therapy, groups, books, recovery steps.
You’re trying.
But even with all the effort, something still pulls you off-center.

However it comes, You know this:

You can’t keep going like this.

Not without wearing out or breaking down.

Imagine your inner world calm, fulfilled, content.
Not perfect.
But aligned.

Imagine having a clearer sense of who you are—and who you’re becoming.
Feeling grounded in your body, fluid with your emotions, instead of stuck in your head.
Not reacting out of fear or guilt, but responding from a place of integrity.

Imagine having friends…deep, lasting friendships.

Not just guys you do stuff with, but men you know you well enough to see you and speak into you…and it not be weird.

Imagine knowing exactly what your “next right steps” are.
Actually feeling them.
Not forcing change—living it.

Imagine your partner seeing the shift.
Not because you’re performing…
But because something real has settled inside you….something she can start to trust.

That’s what Realign is built to create.

How Realign Gets Us There

Most men have tried to think their way out of their misalignment. Which makes sense—thinking feels safe.

But alignment doesn’t happen in the head alone or on your own.

The stuff that pulls you off course? It is often a combination of patterns in your mind, emotions, and body.

Realigning the Mind

  • Clarifying the stories you live inside—about who you are and what’s possible now

  • Reconnecting with your values and sense of direction

  • Turning scattered effort into intentional movement forward

  • Developing patterns for continued self awareness

Realigning the Emotions

  • Creating space for emotions you’ve learned to avoid or manage

  • Learning to interpret what emotions are telling you

  • Growing emotional awareness that supports empathy and repair

  • Strengthening your emotional tolerance

Realigning the Body

  • Settling your nervous system through movement, breath, and time outdoors

  • Recognizing the interplay between the body and emotions

  • Helping insight land somatically—not just intellectually

  • Establishing rhythms of calm, presence, and grounded energy

What the Cohorts Include

Our work together will not be limited to the retreat alone. As part of Realign, you’ll be placed into a small online cohort—six men, meeting midday, beginning one month before the retreat and continuing for two months afterward. These groups are designed to deepen connection before you arrive, support integration once you return home, and perhaps lasting relationship with quality men.

By the time you arrive at the retreat, you’re not walking into a room of strangers. And when the retreat ends, the work and the relationships, don’t drop off. You’ll continue alongside men who care, encourage, challenge, and who will walk with you as alignment becomes lived.

What the Retreat Includes

The Realign retreat includes a stay in an elegant mountain lodge in Breckenridge, where you’ll share a room with one other participant, enjoy plenty of good, nourishing food, and spend several days away from the noise of everyday life. Our time together will include guided group conversations, focused learning, and experiential exercises designed to help insight land in real, practical ways. We’ll get outside for a mountain hike and paddle sports, using nature and movement to support clarity and integration. There will also be space for reflection and intentional unstructured time—moments to think, rest, connect with others, or simply be.

Picture doing your deeper work here…

  • An Elegant Mountain Lodge

We’ll stay together in a large mountain lodge just outside Breckenridge—warm, comfortable, and built for gathering. Shared rooms, comfortable spaces, and quiet corners create a natural rhythm of connection and solitude. It’s the kind of place where conversations unfold easily and self reflection comes naturally.

  • Activities

Our days might include paddling on Dillon Lake, a gentle mountain hike, time sitting at the edge of the fire, or shooting a game of pool back at the house. Nothing extreme. Nothing forced. Movement in nature and space for things to surface in their own time; balancing the focused group time.

  • Beautiful Breckenridge

Breckenridge offers something rare—mountain beauty without pretense. Clean air, wide skies, and a pace that invites you to slow down, enjoy and find peace. It’s an environment that supports reflection, grounding, and forward movement all at once.

Who is this for?

Realign is for men who:

  • Have betrayed their partner (through affairs or pornography) and are doing the serious work of repair

  • Are in active recovery, but feel stuck or internally scattered

  • Need quality men in their lives to practice honesty and emotional intimacy.

  • Are ready to stop managing symptoms and start realigning their actual life

  • Are having trouble bridging the gap between his work and her wounding and the mending of the relationship.

Who it’s not for:

  • Men looking for a quick fix

  • Those who aren’t willing to be honest, and honest with other men

  • Fellas who want to stay in their heads and avoid emotions or deeper work

  • Anyone who blames their wife

If you’re willing to show up with humility, purpose, and an open mind, this retreat is for you.

Why this Matters

Hi, I’m Nathaniel.

I have been in your shoes. Shortly after life blew up for me, my counselor recommended a retreat. I was grabbing onto anything that would float. And it was pivotal in helping me learn skills, not feel alone, and gain confidence that I was on the right path (even though it was gonna be long and hard).

But there were gaps in that retreat—things I now know would have really benefitted me, not only early in recovery but later as I sought to empathize with my wife, heal our relationship, and continue developing into the man I knew I could be.

This is why I developed Realign, so you can develop and sustain personal integrity and relational connection.

TenderHearted Men exists for one reason: to help men feel and relationships heal.

This work is grounded in years of walking with men beyond betrayal, into recovery and relationship repair. Realign integrates emotional awareness, practical tools, and the relational skills required to build a new future.

You’ll be seen, challenged, and guided by someone who understands both sides of the story and what it actually takes for men to change in real and lasting ways.

But I can’t do it for you…

I want to do this!

A Sample Day at the Retreat

We begin the morning with a continental breakfast and an abundance of options—coffee, fresh fruit, protein, and simple fuel for the day ahead. The first session focuses on learning and reflection, often centered on mental blocks and the patterns that keep men stuck, followed by time to experiment with journaling and personal reflection so insights can land individually, not just conceptually.

Lunch is relaxed and communal—a DIY burrito bar at the lodge—before the group splits for the afternoon. One group might head out for an outdoor adventure while the other stays back to work more directly with emotions, then the groups switch. Later, there’s unstructured free time to rest, connect, or take a walk before heading out together for dinner at a phenomenal local restaurant.

The evening brings everyone back to the lodge for an experiential session designed to integrate the day’s work—connecting insight, emotion, and action in practical ways. From there, the night opens up: time by the fire, conversations that continue naturally, or quiet space to unwind. You use it how you need.

A Sample Cohort

Each cohort session begins by coming together and checking in—naming what emotions you’re coming in with and getting oriented to the work ahead. This isn’t a casual drop-in; it’s a focused time set apart to pay attention to what’s actually shaping your life and relationships.

From there, the group engages shared prompts, teachings, and questions that surface mental blocks, emotional patterns, and real situations men are navigating. The conversation stays purposeful—men think out loud, reflect honestly, and respond to one another in real time. The aim isn’t necessarily comfort (certainly not coddling); it’s clarity.

As the session moves toward closing, attention turns to application. Men name what they’re committing to and how they intend to practice it between meetings. You leave with a clearer sense of direction and the benefit of moving forward alongside men who know your story and take the work seriously.

This retreat is purposefully small and intimate. And each individual’s needs are unique and deserve consideration. That’s why Realign uses an application process—to make sure this retreat is the right fit for you and for the group as a whole.

The application helps ensure that your time, energy, and investment are well placed, and that the retreat remains a safe environment where real work can happen. It also allows us to shape the retreat around the specific needs of the men who will be in the room.

The process is simple and intentional:

1. Submit your application.
Each application is reviewed carefully.

2. Personal interview.
If it looks like a potential fit, we’ll schedule a 30 minute conversation to get to know you better, answer questions, and make sure the timing, cohorts and the retreat will serve you well.

3. Invitation and next steps.
If you’re accepted, you’ll receive an invitation to join the retreat along with clear guidance on next steps, including securing your spot and preparing for the experience.

My goal is for you to feel clear, respected, and supported at every stage. If questions come up along the way, I’m available to walk you through them.
